9 BENEFITS OF A FINANCIAL HEALTH ASSESSMENT

staged financial growth

How can you cultivate success?

At Blackline Strategies, one of our corporate goals is to help develop and maintain financially healthy companies. To accomplish that goal, we often recommend our program that provides you with a quarterly Financial Health Assessment and a corresponding Focus Report. Together they will identify specific financial and/or operational issues that should be attended to.

So how can you benefit from this assessment?

We wanted to really delve into answering this key question because it will help you decide if your company could benefit from our analysis. Although we came up with a list of 25 benefits of receiving a quarterly financial health assessment, we’ve whittled it down to nine main advantages.

  1. The Focus Report (a clear and concise 2 page report) provides absolute clarity and direction on the 1 or 2 most important objectives.
  2. The assessment can reveal how and where to cut costs.
  3. Owner/CEO will gain assurance that the financials are reliable by knowing that:
    1. Accounting systems are integrated with all other necessary systems, and
    2. Reporting is accurate and consistent.
  4. Owner/CEO will gain assurance that the business model is still viable when they see positive trends in gross margins and operating cash flow.
  5. Performance of entire leadership team will improve because they will:
    1. make better informed decisions,
    2. better understand the importance of cash flow,
    3. be focused on the same goals,
    4. be more motivated and collaborative, and
    5. have a better understanding of the true drivers of the business.
  6. Assessment will help Owner/CEO develop long term strategy.
  7. Process will make a future exit more beneficial and much more expedient.
  8. Process will make it easier to obtain future financing.
  9. Communications with external parties (i.e. banks, investors, customers & vendors) will improve significantly.

These are just a few of the benefits that we see for our clients. Contact us if you have any questions or would like to add to this list!
